 Kiss Me Kate
Summer Season 2010

There's nothing quite like getting away from it all. Leaving behind the routine and the hum-drum is often the key to an experience that will inspire, transform and renew. So what could be better than getting away to the Theatre in the Hills this Summer for a tip-top theatrical treat!

There are six productions this year, all telling stories from outwith Scotland, offering just such an enriching experience – and superb entertainment – along with all of the familiar PFT trademarks: lavish costumes, beautifully realised sets and thrilling performances.

The flagship production for 2010 is Cole Porter’s musical comedy masterpiece, Kiss Me, Kate! But the excitement doesn’t end there. There is also Michael Frayn’s classic theatrical comedy, Noises Off; Oscar Wilde’s dangerous, witty and ever popular An Ideal Husband; and a riotous nautical comedy, Rough Crossing by Tom Stoppard. From across the pond, there’s a second slice of Americana in Bus Stop, William Inge’s bittersweet romance. And to complete this wide-ranging selection from around the world, there’s Zola’s Nana adapted by Olwen Wymark: sinful, scandalous and sexually charged!
